Origin: New Zealand, Australia, and Chile

Appearance: Pale tan-yellow sapwood with pinkish-brown heartwood.

Characteristics: Fast growing, displaying wide growth rings and medium texture. Glues and machines well. Widely used in moldings. Clear lumber more readily available than other pine species.
